Feed Tests - More Results

I'm not sure if this is what you were saying, I've only skim read the last few pages, forgive me if I'm getting the wrong idea.
I'm not actually commenting on the feed (which I didn't experience a problem with), the tests (which I'm grateful for), or the differences in opinion (which everyone is entitled to).

I'm commenting on our treatment of one another. I hear you, and agree with your concern that our chickens' nutritional needs, need to be the focus of this discussion. This is an excellent point, that you made in a non-condeming tone. I appreciate that.

But, yes - there is picking. And we have many new members and new chicken owners đź‘‹ who may be afraid to ask questions, for fear of saying something wrong, and becoming the target of this "picking". Their fear to ask questions could also put chickens at risk.

This is a group of intelligent, teaching, learning, sharing people who have one, very important interest in common. Let's please not lose sight of that

If anybody cares... We've been feeding the same feed for years. It is not one of the questionable feeds and we don't buy at TSC but at Orscheln's. Our hens went off lay in about late August, I think, and went into hard molt. Not unusual. Then the sun went on vacation so, as per usual, we still didn't get many eggs through the holidays. Shortly after Christmas things started picking up. Three eggs, then five, then eight and today I got 18 beautiful eggs out of my 23 layers. I don't know what that proves except possibly that we have chickens.

I have no idea what is going on. I'm fine, the chickens are fine...moving on to Spring gardening...

I made a nig booboo..I was buying bags of feed during Covid..not opened, not realizing they break down… any way to correct this with additives or toss… first thing in the morning is to check all dates…
Definitely check the feed mill dates and if they're buggy. Your best bet is probably to buy new bags of feed, at least imho
