I have a layer hen that I just notice has no breast muscles, all I feel is bones. She is just recovering from an impacted crop, which seems now has been going on for months. Beside layer feed, which she is currently refusing to eat. What can I feed her to gain weight fast?

Feed here a mixture of cornmeal and bread soaked in milk. Should be pasty not runny and feed her about a 1/3 of a cup twice a day on top of her regular feed.

My chickens do their best when they have vinegar in their water so that will probably help. They also get all the garlic they will eat. The garlic really pepped my cat-mauled hen up.

Thanks for all the input.
After some research, she needs carbs (gain weight) and protein (build muscle), for the most 'bang for the buck' millet and beef is one answer. Unlike corn that needs crushing first and has sharp edges and may cause crop blockage, millet is small and round, so it can easily pass the crop. The plus side, she really likes millet.

Here is some nutrient levels of things I looked into.
