Is it safe to feed uncooked rice to chickens occasionally?

Think brown cooked rice is a better idea. Make sure they get grit too.

If your concern is with regards to the old wives tale about birds 'exploding' due to uncooked rice - yes, it is safe as that is simply a myth.

If the rice is cooked, and therefore sticky, you can add all the powdery, crumbly feed (or seeds, whatever) to it too, and that part of the feed is not wasted.

How about kiwi? I know they can eat several fruits.

At the top of the page go to Learning Center, then click on Housing & Feeding your Chickens, and then click on Chicken Treat Chart.

Think there are probably other topics of interest there so you might like to check that out. Don't know about kiwi but probably ok. Best wishes.
