I live in south Louisiana and was told to not feed my chickens corn in the summer because it causes them to overheat is this true or can I feed them corn during the summer.

That's not true. In fact, what a lot of people like to do is put corn in a muffin tin, add water, and freeze for a cool snack. As with any treat, however, corn should be fed in moderation so as not to upset the nutritional balance in the chickens' diets.
