I am thinking of buying some shamo or aseel chicks I will start them of on chick crumb
then starter what do I feed them at 16/18 week people say not to put them on layers
so can I. 1 bowl of growers & 1 bowl of corn & grit or is this to much protein
cheers

You should put them on layer feed as soon as they start laying. Shamos and assels are poor egg producers though, so too much calcium in layer feed can be quite too much for their body to handle. It might be fine though, but mixing it with other feed would definitely be better.

OoOoOooooh SNAP! Iz you sure you can handle the Oriental Gamefowl breeds? Iz you cool enough?!! :p

I have 2 oriental gamefowls (male + female)....... I just feed them both layer and some scratch once in awhile, they are thriving and doing fine. If you have a few roosters in your flock, then maybe you can go to an all flock or grower/finisher and just add oyster shells on the side. People complain about feeding roosters layer feed because of the extra calcium but mine is doing just fine, no problem.
