I wanted to ask you that when the egg hatches is it okay to feed the chick red rice if not please give me some suggestions..

Hi there, welcome to BYC!

Rice is not an appropriate food for chicks. It's severely lacking in key nutrients... protein, vitamins, minerals, amino acids.

If you are in the US the best thing you can provide is a chick starter feed which is formulated to meet all the chicks growing needs.

If you are not in the US, and even so.. please add your general location to your profile as it may help folks make their best suggestion possible at a glance.

If you ever do feed rice it should be cooked and not raw. It is not recommended as a primary feed source.

I would recommend chick medicated food first
