Hello All,


I am new to the site and i have a question. I feed my hen 16% laying pellets,scratch grains,and oyster shells. I have heard people talking about feeding their hens rolled oats. The scratch grains that i feed my hens has some oats in it- do you think i need to get a bag and feed them this as well or do you think the scratch has enough.

I think the oats in the scratch grains is enough. I only fed scratch grains this past winter. I free range and the rest of the year my chickens can find plenty to supplement their diet without the scratch grains.
