Feed

I dont use medicated at all. They need to be on starter or flock raiser till they are about 16-18 weeks then they can go to layer. If you have a mixed flock then use flock raiser or starter/finisher and have oyster shell available. stick to soft treats for them while they are little.

I'd keep them on chick starter until they are at least eight weeks old then transition them over to a grower feed until they lay their first eggs then over to layer. Or you can keep them on starter all the way till their first eggs then go to layer. I use Purina Flock Raiser myself so at eight to ten weeks I begin to transition them onto that the supplement oyster shell on the side at about five months.
