My only thought is the chickenwire, especially on the lower portion as the OP mentioned....Determined predators may be able to get in....chickens can't get out but.....I would reinforce with hardware cloth. Since I build my first run and have followed posts here I have moved my chickens in a big coop and will put up a new run....no chicken wire this time
