Feeder problem

I'm going to mix it in with the crumbles, they will eat it without knowing, and be used to seeing it!

I know this is an old post, but I have the same problem. Have 22 chickens and am trying to streamline care, as well as reduce waste. If I'm out for the day, I come home to see 'crumble dust' in the tray part of the round galvanized feeder, lots of crumble in a cone shape inside, and hungry chickens! Moisture isn't a problem here in North Georgia (at least we have high humidity, of course). Will try spraying the insides with Pam, though I'm hoping to go more organic , so this isn't a great solution. I can also switch back to pellet. Seems they didn't like that as much.

Anyone else have anymore suggestions? Some of the feeders are great ideas, but not practicable for 22 chickens. My main feeder is outdoors hanging from the overhang roof of the coop, and protected from rain by a tarp.

A chicken gets hungry enough they will eat pellets. I only use crumbles for chicks, my (latest) special needs bird - a tiny crossbreak sebright - and my call ducks.
