Feeding 36 week old Chickens?

Dont feed layer until they start laying or you end up with too much calcium.. Also roos will get too much if you have those. Better to put out a bowl of oyster shells with regular feed.

Welcome! Good food pays off, and I've been feeding Purina Flock Raiser, with oyster shell on the side, for years, to all my chickens. Any age or sex, it works very well. It's available at my local feed stores with mill dates within four weeks all the time, another reason to buy it.
You may have to make other choices to get fresh feed, but an all-flock feed rather than layer will be better choice, IMO. Mary
