I am trying to find feed for a 6 month old rooster and all I can find are feeds for chicks or laying hens. Even an internet search for feed seems futile as the searches all bring me to sites that only seem to discuss feeding chicks, pullets or laying hens. I am looking for a feed I can purchase so that I know my rooster is receiving proper nutrition. Does such a thing even exist?

A flock feed or chick feed for him. No layer food for him because the calcium is too high.
Mine get food with 18-20% protein. And I up the % when molting.
Do you know how long they can have chick feed? He is still eating ADM chick starter/grower until I know what to do. I hope I am not causing any harm.

Approximation of a flock feed of 18 to 20% good for immature and roosters and when in molt. During balance of year mine are kept on a lower protein diet of 12 to 14%. During much of the year they are simply maintaining themselves and do not need the extra kick from a higher protein diet.

Do you have any brand name recommendations for the lower 12/14% feed?

Do you have any brand names to recommend for all flock feed?
I use this, it’s a pellet. 18% protein

But I have used this, it’s crumbles. I believe protein is 20 or 21%
