Feeding and water in extreme cold

That’s what I use in my small coop. I had to run another extension cord as it is usually in the run and that cord didn’t reach the coop either. Hopefully the silkies & Polish don’t stick their crests in it! I’ll bring them inside for a blow dry if so and swap the bowl out for a bunny waterer mounted.

My big coop has a bucket with horizontal nipples and a drop in water heater in it.

I think I’ll go check on th again & mount our other blink camera so I can monitor the bantam coop too. Hubby mounted the first blink years ago in the only coop we had at the time. Now I’ve got another coop and finally just ordered another camera. He’s at work now and probably won’t see the need to stand outside in these temps to install a spy camera for me & my chickens when he gets off work. 😂
this is a day when I wish I had a camera in there to make sure they're doing ok!

Yes! They were on sale for $15, so I grabbed another one!
Here’s my pic from spying on them at around midnight! (Excuse the feather mess, some are still molting! Brrrr!)

Single digits here next few days. My birds do just fine subzero weather no supplemental heat. I actually usually keep the pop door open also.

wow that's a good deal! I've never seen any camera that cheap, even on amazon.
Keep in mind you'll pay a subscription service for recordings monthly, and the camera is only as good as your wifi connection (at least for the base model cameras I have). If your coop is very close to your house it may not give you issues, but mine are just collecting dust now. And that's after I put a compatible wifi extender on my porch 😔

We cancel the subscriptions after the free 30 days. We bought the little box thingy that allows you to record locally for free until it's full, then you delete or upload then delete to make more space on the module thingy (not in the cloud--no subscription). Camera was half off on black friday with the echo show I bought for my parents. I'm not techy, but my hubby is and he extended wifi all the way out to our sheds for music, cameras, etc.

cool! I have wifi out there, I like that there's a non cloud option

It is an indoor blink mini. Hubby paid $18 Black Friday 2020 and it’s been inside the main coop wrapped in plastic food wrap to keep dust off and working great all this time. A coop isn’t indoor, but apparently negative temps and 90 degree temps don’t bother it. We haven’t had the subscription with it; we simply ask our echo show to show us Blink and can see the main coop from in the house (or on my hubby’s phone app).

This past Black Friday it was in a bundle with an echo show and in a bundle with an outdoor blink with solar charger, that I saw, both adding the mini for $15, so I got another when I bought gifts for others.
I was so proud of myself for downloading the app, setting it up, installing it in negative temps, and it working! But hubby says we need to reset it so it’s on the same account as the other one. Whoops! But until he gets off work next week, I have the little chicken coop on my phone’s app & I’m still proud I did something techy on my own! (Later I’ll have both coops on my phone once he merges both blinks in a group.)
Granted, I mounted it sideways thinking I could rotate the screen 90 degrees in the app, but only 180° is the option there, so I had to reconfigure my camera spot. But here it is—a peek into the poofy chickens’ coop from my warm house! 🥰

The bantam Cochin was very interested in it!

This is what we bought. No need for subscription or extra fees.
