So my baby chicks are a few days old, and I'm feeding them chick starter. Can they be fed vegetables, chopped into small pieces?

At this stage probably only small amounts----like a pea sized serving per chick per day...I found that my chicks liked rolled oats, which is easier for them to digest at that age

I usually wait a few weeks, but others feed treats earlier. Just remember that if you give treats, you need to also provide chick grit.

Oh, and it is harder for them to eat larger things with high densities, as they dont have enough grit (shell, small stones) to help break it down.
When they're a week old you can give them slightly larger portions, but mabe just play it safe for now.
