If I feed my chickens some black oil sunflower seeds should the shell part be on or off? Also where do you buy it that it is not to exspensive? My chickens are 14 weeks old.

They eat hull and all. Tractor Supply has 40# bags of BOSS for $15. Check your feed stores.
