Food inside the coop and water outside the coop. If, during the winter we have heavy rains I put the water inside the coop and outside. I have 3 waterers in different areas for them now. The only time they are in the coop is either to lay or sleep. I live in the Bay Area of CA so our weather usually is semi mild.
