feeding chickens packaged Burpee seeds, is it ok?

A store manager gave us a large bag of veggie and flower seeds from Burpee and I was wondering since they won't sprout would it hurt my chickens? Burpees are GMO free seeds and I don't think coated with anything.

Veggie seeds are usually coated with I think it's an antifungal. I wouldn't feed to my hens. It's usually a pink coating. GC

I would call burpee first, but personally wouldnt risk it.

Do you know for sure that they won't sprout? I've had old seeds surprise me.

I would just use them in the garden. I use old seeds all the time, not 100% germination so just plant heavy and thin.

I personally wouldn't just because you never know what's on them. They aren't meant for immediate consumption.
