On my farm we have lots of fruit trees. I'm talking apples, pears, peaches, plums and cherries. We also raise tomatoes, watermelons, cantelopes and strawberries, feeding the scraps and bad ones back to the chickens. My flock free ranges almost 24/7 and during the end of summer my chickens have access to the fallen fruit from all the trees (more than they could possibly eat) and I have never noticed a difference in thier laying nor does it seem to make a difference in the health of the birds.
