Feeding Chicks with Pre-Starter feed

would there be any side effect if chicks are fed with per-starter feed (Galdus) for more than 10 days?

You will have to ask the company directly. There is no way to know whether or not their feed is beneficial since they do not advertise what the concentrations of various ingredients are. They do not manufacture or sell their feed in the U.S. where they would be required by law to include the feed analysis on the bag or on an attached tag.

First of all, welcome to the BYC forums :welcome

As to your specific question, I have never heard of pre-starter feed for chicks. It is not sold at my local farm stores. I have always been very successful using regular starter feed for my chicks from day 1. So I had to look up this pre-starter feed online. Depending on the company, it appears they recommend feeding the pre-starter feed for anything from the first 4 days, to the first week.

If your concern is that you have lots of pre-starter feed left over from the first 10 days, then I would suggest that you could transition over to regular starter feed by gradually increasing the regular starter feed in the pre-starter feed over maybe 7 days. If you still have pre-starter feed left after the week of transition to regular starter feed, I would continue to mix in a little bit of pre-starter feed until it is gone. No need to waste any feed in my opinion, but I do think you should start to transition over to regular starter feed after that first week.

Thinking ahead, you will end up getting grower or layer feed later on for your birds as they mature. Again, you want to start a transition period and gradually introduce the new feed to your birds over maybe 7 days. I plan on doing the transition period as I near the end of one bag, but if I do have extra old feed type leftover, I'll just mix a little bit into the new feed until the older feed (starter) is gone. I don't waste anything.

Of course, @R2elk gave you good advice on calling the pre-starter feed manufacturer and asking them directly about your concerns and/or looking up their company website if available.
