How long do you contimue using the starter feed? What is the next level feed?

Around here we only get starter/grower, so I keep them on that til they start laying, or around 5 months.

Some say to stay with the starter or grower and not use the layer at all, but offer oyster shell free choice and separately to laying hens, which the hens will eat as needed for calcium.
