Has anyone tried This? How did you feed? Did you use it in your run? What where your results?

I looked up chopped alfalfa...I do not buy this brand but I am pretty sure it is similar to what I have used.
(I buy cubes for my horses)

We ferment pellets of alfalfa (don't get me started on my first batch, half gallon container that got knocked over IN THE OVEN!). We also have a bale of alfalfa we toss down in the run. We then try to throw scratch grain into these areas, to make them scratch for it more.

Yea that is what I saw in the store. I thought it may be a good choice since it is chopped up pretty fine. I have heard of chickens getting impacted crops from the bales and thought this may solve that problem without soaking cubes in winter.

I have never fed them out without soaking first.
Try it and see how you like it.

I just got the pellets, dumour I think at TS for $13?

I soaked them and left it out in the "extra feeding bucket" in the run. So far I have not seen anyone eat it but then again they are free ranging anyway.
