Getting a breeding pair of Muscovey ducks and was wondering if it's ok if the drake eats the layers mash pellets that I'll be feeding the duck or is there something about it being to high in calcium? They'll be run on a small free range paddock with eight hens it's pretty bare but we dump a wheelbarrow full of manure that's crawling with worms in a few times a week and there fed layers mash to also we have a hen bucket with scraps like old veggies and things

I don't know ducks..just want to welcome you.

There are a lot of different duck threads. Type in the search bar, you will find many threads..go with the one that looks like it may help you with your question. Maybe someone else will come on to welcome you that knows ducks..there are many! ?? Anyone?

Welcome to BYC. I would think there is some type of duck feed available commercially . You could post on the "Duck thread," - I would expect they could give better answers than me. I don't know anything about ducks. I do know layer feed for chickens is very bad for roosters and non laying birds. They don't need the calcium, it can damage their kidneys.
