My hens are pretty consistent with their egg color. We got 4 today! 4 hens; 2 EE, 1 Seabright and 1 Rhode Island... 1 of my EE seems to be a late boomer. This week, we've been getting 2 blue/ mint colored eggs. Is it possible for 1 hen to lay different colored eggs on the same day?
I may be crazy but the egg to the left has ablue hue vs the egg to the right has a green hue. The EE that has been laying lays the blue hue eggs and same as yours, is consistent. So this makes me think maybe the younger EE is finally laying ???My hens are pretty consistent with their egg color.
That would be my guess.I may be crazy but the egg to the left has ablue hue vs the egg to the right has a green hue. The EE that has been laying lays the blue hue eggs and same as yours, is consistent. So this makes me think maybe the younger EE is finally laying ???
Lol I plan to scope them out this weekend to confirm if she's laying or notThat would be my guess.
I had an EE who was sure as heck laying,(watched her drop an egg), but her comb didn’t redden until at least 3 weeks into laying.
(You mentioned a late bloomer)
