It doesn't help that she is so massively protective!! If she was like the rest of my flock she wouldn't mind being handled and it would be so much easier! As it is Boris hates everything and everyone always has and I think she always will!!

Well, at least she is protecting the babies! lol... and there's no guarantee yiur friendliest duck won't be a vicious broody momma... I had my grey Call go broody, she was a single hatch as extremely imprinted and bonded to me... she wanted to bite pieces off my hands if I tried getting near her eggs and then her babies, lol...

You will be pleased to know that they are all doing absolutely fine they live with the other ducks in the same shed and I'm having no issues . . Apart from the adult ducks eating all the bloody duckling food!!!! Lol

That's absolutely awesome!! Well, not the food gobbling part, lol... but very glad she is doing well with them and they're staying within the flock... it's so much easier when they can grow up within it instead of integrating later...
