we added 3 ducklings to our mix yesterday I know they’re ok to eat the chicken starter with the Brewers yeast added and need water. My question is: if I add anything to their diet such as small cut grass, diced egg or peas (?) do I need to add a bowl of chick-size grit to the brooder as well like I do with my chicks?

I handled my birds a lot I kept a towel I tore into 3s so I would swaddle them so they couldn’t push away when little , and held them close whether they liked it or not they would calm down. I was always very gentle And I would play soothing music . I was very repetitive with their routines and I only use simple commands , I always reward with a treat . Their pretty obedient even stil today . I still am very Hands on with them, I sit with them all around me and pull out the towels so they don’t poop on me lol so I always have those towels for them to sit on so they k now when I set out towels on bench their going to enjoy weather and a good calm 20-30 minUte session sitting with me that includes a treat. I place towel under them and pull it over tail so they don’t poop on me , this has made it very easy for us to get very comfortable with each other . I also cut fruits and veggies in small chunks for treats they enjoy, I have personally never used grit or brewers yeast Becuase I let them out during the day and they find small pebbles and such, I try to keep their diet more natural . Their very healthy . Hope Any of this helped
