Feeding game bird feed to laying hens

I gave up so you have to think a little.

Formula =((ProportionA*A)+(ProportionB*B))/100

ProportionA A ProportionB B Diet
100 22 0 8 22
90 22 10 8 20.6
80 22 20 8 19.2
70 22 30 8 17.8
60 22 40 8 16.4
50 22 50 8 15
40 22 60 8 13.6
30 22 70 8 12.2
20 22 80 8 10.8
10 22 90 8 9.4
0 22 100 8 8

A = % crude protein for ingredient A
B = % crude protein for ingredient B
Diet 0 % crude protein for diet after mixing ingredients in proportions given

400

The same mill has this feed which is higher in protein as suggested but it's pretty high in fat also. I'm worried this could make them fat. Other wise what do you think?

I'm going to weigh in here one more time. This is not rocket science although some of the posts would seem to want to make it so. Your first listed feed is fine for 15-16 week old pullets. If it was me and I had your selection of feeds, I'd start switching them over to layer pellets pretty soon anyway. I would NOT switch again to the mash you've listed, especially since I believe you stated in first post that they didn't eat that well. I looked at the Virginia Natural feeds and that's what I'd do in your situation. Since you don't know me from squat, I'll just say I've had a little home flock since I was a pup and I'm a pretty old dog now.
