I have ducks but I am now hatching some geese out I know most of their diets comes from grass but I want a layer feed for them also. I feed my ducks purnia duck pellets and offer oysters shells on the side for my hens. I was wondering if I could also feed the geese the duck pellets? Or does anyone have any other ideas of feed for the geese? I don’t want to take my ducks off the duck pellets they do really good and I have never had any problems with the feed.

Feed them All Flock with oyster shell on the side. Layer pellets are unnecessary when providing oyster shell.

They can eat duck pellets but I’m not sure if it’s formulated well as a layer feed, so you may want to add oyster shell too, gander’s don’t need the extra calcium so if you end up with any boys I think it will be fine.

Right just to be clear, don’t add the oyster shell - they should be offered on the side. Ganders and drakes may sample a little here and there but will be generally disinterested. Hens know they need it and will supplement as needed.
