Feeding hatched eggs back?

I've heard many people dry out eggshells and feed them back for calcium. What about egg shells that chickens have hatched out from? Is that safe?

Thanks for any help.

I don't. Usually there's bits of blood and such left behind that has been sitting at around 100F for awhile. I would think the contamination risk is high so while it's probably nothing that would harm a grown chicken I just throw them out. I suppose you could bake them in the oven which some people do with all the egg shells they feed back.
