Feeding heritage turkeys?

My turkeys are 8 weeks old and just got through their first 50 lb. bag of game bird starter. Should i switch to game bird grower?

I would..How much protien does it have? I ask because sometimes the same amount of protien can be found in chicken food for less money. I have a mixed flock of many different breeds of birds so I just buy all chicken food. Its easier and cheaper for me to do this since all poultry is together chickens, ducks, guineas and turkeys

The conventional wisdom is to begin transitioning them over to gamebird grower in the ten week range. I usually do it between ten to twelve weeks depending on when I run out of starter.

I hatch mine in April and May so they can be ready for the holiday market.
