Feeding in the summer

What kind of food should i feed in the summer........I live in S.C. so its can be very hot and humid!

Things that contain water would be helpful to keep them cooled off. Maybe lettuce, tomato... Just nice veggies. I have heard not to feed scratch in the summer. It can cause them to warm up to much. I personally don't believe a little here and there will hurt, like on a cool day. Just remenber to ALWAYS have water available in that hot weather.

Just my opinion and what I have read.
