Feeding issues

We have 8 red sex links that are two years old and we have six teenage chicks a variety that are approximately 14 weeks old my problem is when I let them all out to free range the two year old chickens eat chick starter and the 14 weeks old eat the layer crumble. Is this a problem? Should I switch them all to layer crumble?

At 14 weeks you would be fine to switch them all to crumble

Or feed everyone an all flock feed with oyster shell available for the laying hens to get when they need it.

What 21hens said. You never actually have to use layer, as long as you have oyster shell available. This way, anytime you would add new chicks, you don't have to worry about the different feeds.
