Feeding layers higher then 17% protien a problem??

Just wondering if there is any issues with feeding layers a protien percentage higher then 17%? I have some left over duck starter and am wondering if I can mix this in with my layer feed to feed to the layers?? The duck starter has a 20% protien level. They are on Layena (purina) now and want to just use up the duck starter. Dont have any more ducks, by the way!!

They are confined to a run all day incase anyone is going ask/comment about free-ranging!!

No, it should not be a problem at all. Just mix a little into their layer feed until it's all gone.
