Feeding layers/non-layers

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find the appropriate posts (sorry, a little stressed with a sick mom and a sick cat). So ... I have four pullets that are 17 weeks old today. No one is laying yet, but I imagine it will be soon. My question is what to feed the flock if some are laying and some are not. Should I feed everyone layer feed, or feed everyone grower feed and free feed oyster/egg shell (which is what my feed store recommended), feed a mix of layer and grower? Do something else? Thanks in advance for your help.

You can feed grower for their entire lifetime as long as you provide a calcium supplement fed separately.
