Our 2 new llamas are enjoying their new home! I'm just really concerned about over feeding them. Dolly, my mama, seems to be hungry all the time!! Last night hubby caught her stretching her neck out through the gate as far as she could to get into the wheel barrow full of hay I had nearby. There is a good possibility she may be pg. I've been feeding her and her daughter, Charlotte, a flake of hay in the morning and at night along with llama pellets. Should I up the hay and see what happens? When they eat the first flake it does take them a while. Dolly stays to eat for quite a while, but Charlotte come and goes.

Thanks, Sonja

are they on pasture at all? If not, they should be getting 3 (depending on size of flake) each per day. ALso depends on hay quality, and if the llama is preg. or not. Pm me if you want......I can answer more, when I'm not at work.
