Ive been catching a ton of mice in my coop storage area and I was wondering if its safe to feed them to the chickens.

They caught one today and wolfed it down.

Is it still safe to eat the eggs and such from mice eatin chickens?

I do not know how safe it is but in the past Mine have gotten a few and ate them. There still alive ^^

Not safe for the mice...

And not safe for you should you fall down while feeding them and get knocked out. Chickens will finish up the mice and then start looking to you.
Mice, frogs, snails, snakes. Haven't seen anything the little T-rex's won't eat.

Just watch out they didn't get into poison, cats and dogs die from injesting poisoned rodents so it probably be the same or faster with chickens. Poison is nasty stuff, they use warfarin (blood thinner) not a pretty way to go.

agreed, as long as you don't have poison out, you should be okay... also, i'm not sure how close to neighbors you are, but if you are fairly close, the mice might have gone from their house to yours... as long as you have a bit of acreage in between, you should be fine...

a snake got in our coop last year... the chickens ate the whole thing!

Only teasing!

We only use live traps for the safety other critters then toss the mice to the chickens. They rarely let one escape.
