Rest in Peace -2017
I was feeding a lot of LBB (little brown birds) also. My pens are aviary style, and have gaps large enough for the lbbs to fly in and help themselves. I fashioned wraps for my gravity feeders out of chicken wire. Made a cap for the top, and just wrapped the pan on the bottom. The chickens and lbbs both can still eat from them, but it slowed the lbbs down a lot. Too much effort, I guess? It took about 6 weeks, but they decided the pickings would be better elsewhere cause they're finally gone. I still have few that hang around and mooch, but not near as many as there were months ago.
