Hi guys!
Right now all my chickens get regular old layer pellet. I was wondering can you just switch to a feed that is organic and start raising them that way? Or do they need it from the start for it to be affective? And if I can just switch it how long is the process until they are fully "organic" ? And is there anything else I could do to help them be more organic?
Thanks yall :)

You can feed organic anytime, but the rules for "certified organic" are very tough. Chicks must be exclusively on organic feed from one day of age, including as snacks and treats, and be on ground that's free of unapproved products for several years, just for starters. Mary

Like @Folly's place mentioned, You can switch to organic feed at any time if you are more comfortable feeding organic feed. That doesn't translate to organic eggs or chickens. Here's a link that might be useful. http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/blog/whole-story/what-makes-organic-chicken-organic
