Feeding quail: a controversial subject

i buy dove and quail feed and put grass seed in it ,this is great for my birds all of them Button quail,ringneck doves and diamond doves .i also give them long stem seeded grass and sometimes crickets for the button quail,they are like chickens put a cricket in there and you have barnyard brawls - the weird thing ive found is the ringnecks like crickets too.
when i hatch out chicks ,the chicks are on high pro gambird crumble the first few weeks till fully feathered then slowly introduced to grains and greens and bugs.
