For my Coturnix I use Purina Gamebird starter 30% but I have used Manna Pro Gamebird & Showbird 24% starter. The lower protein just causes them to grow slower. You can add duckweed, hemp seed or bsfl to boost protein. You should definitely mix the feed to transition from the old to the new.
