Feeding question

I have a small (20 square feet) run with a coop which is a converted dog kennel. I have a feeder and drinker outside the coop. The hens usually "retire" when it starts to get dark (about 9 pm) and I close the door-flap.
Should I have feed or water inside the coop? Or should I just leave it outside all the time?

Hello!

I used to keep my food out in the chicken run. It is a hanging feeder. Anyhow, the layer crumbles would get knocked out onto the ground, and eventually get wet and then stink to high heaven!

So I keep the feed inside the coop, and the water outside the coop. Works like a charm.

I keep feed and water in the coop 24/7. I keep water in the outside during the day. I never leave food out at night b/c of critters.
