Feeding Scraps To Chickens

Imagine havine 12 mini garbage disposals. They will eat everything from left over veggies to steak scraps and anything in between.

Mine love noodles, cooked rice, left over cornbread and shredded cheese but just about anything I put out they eat. They love it after thanksgiving because they get all the scraps and leftovers. One thing I try to do is spread it all over the yard in different places to really make them forage for it.

why is bread not good for chickens

In that regard, breads do not provide a lot for the amount of calories they contain. Like potatoes, rice and other starches, they're just kind of filler.
