Feeding Silkie chicks

What do you feed your silkie chicks, and at what age do you feed it till you switch to something different?

I've read about people feeding gamebird feed to silkies to give them more protein. Is that good? Also, how much protein do you feed them when they are chicks through adult?

I feed mine medicatedstarter and grower till they are about 14 weeks then I switch them to a mixed grain feed that has all kinds of different grains and also has oyster shells and laying mash mixed in with it my girls lay great on this stuff.

In the winter I mix alot of corn with their feed and Have been giving my 8 week old more corn then usual because of the cold temps.

I feed my Silkie chicks gamebird starter because it is the only
non-medicated starter that I can find in my area.
They seem to be doing great on it. I add in some veggies and
fruits occassionally.
