Feeding the Flock

so we have roughly 20 chickens (two of which are young roosters, the others a mixed variety of hens) right now we feed them mainly maize, although they do get the occasional scraps

. They're pretty healthy birds, I was just wondering what kind of thing everyone else feeds Y'all's birds because we're trying to add some nutrition to our chicken's diets. Our hens do lay pretty well. Just wondering like what kind of things Y'all feed.

Commercial layer feed makes up the bulk of my birds diet in addition to pasture forage.

X2 on the layer feed for most of their daily intake. However I do like to feed meat scraps or cooked ground beef or ground turkey, especially during molting season to up the protein for good feather growth. My birds go ga-ga for cabbage. LOL I am not sure what the nutrient content of cabbage is, but they love it so.
