Our flock consists of 5 laying hens, 4 silkie bantams that are approximately 9 weeks old.
In a brooder, we also have 2 bantams living with a broad breasted white turkey, all of which are almost 3 weeks old.

What do you feed mixed flocks? The older birds we’ve been mixing 16% layer with the 20% chick.

In the brooder, we’ve just been feeding the 24% feed for the turkey.

What do you recommend?

Feed either a non medicated starter grower or an All Flock or flock raiser ration. Provide a separate bowl of oyster shells for the calcium needs of any laying hens. Layer ration is not necessary. I no longer use it myself.

I feed a 18 or 20% crumble to chicks, pullets and hens.
I feed day old Chicks a Medicated Start and Grow feed for 10 weeks, then when bag is empty, I switch to a Non-Medicated Starter-Grower or a All-Flock crumble, the same feed I give to the Hens.
I offer Oyster Shells in a separate container for the Calcium. GC
