June 29th, these 5 Ash-throated Flycatcher babies fledged the nest box today! :woot I hear the parents out back now working to get them all together. I have monitored, Bewick's Wrens, Western Bluebirds and Juniper Titmice at my nest boxes. Bluebirds can be a bit lax with poop clean up, Wrens are a bit better than Bluebirds, the Titmice are extremely meticulous and barely any poop is left in the box after babies fledge. But this is ridiculous, what a mess!! I never saw the mom or dad removing poop from this box...

Finished mowing the field Thursday.. Must have wiped out a meadowlark nest because a fledgling kept moving farther into the unmowed part until it ran out of tall grass to hide in. Once I was done, the mother came back to collect it.

I also had found a Mourning Dove nest. It obviously hatched as I saw at least one youngster with the adult while mowing.
