My chickens didn't like pellets when I switched them from crumbles. They finally decided to eat them though. Do they sell a crumble style food rather than pellets? I have also read that you can grind up pellets if that is the issue. I usually read the back of the bag to check the recommended age to make sure it is age appropriate and to decide between starter vs grower/finisher/layer, etc. Does the bag say it is ok for 8 week olds? I did read a general guideline that says to feed starter from 0-10 weeks. I have never raised that breed before, so I don't know if they have any special needs.
