What do you feed freshly hatched quail?

Smaller game bird crumble with high protien or turkey starter. Some sizes of quail may require you grind it in a coffee grinder or such.

I toss the game bird starter into the blender for the first day or two. I had to do it for the Buttons and the others seemd to do better on it.

Where do you find this? My local feed store carries nothing for game birds. Only chickens

Any advice on making own feed? Tried and true menus?

You can use the chick starter if game bird or turkey starter is not available but quail need higher proteins. You would have to add a ground up quality dry cat food to supplement the protein.
