Feeds affecting laying?

After two and half straight years of Covid lies from every three letter agency, government and pharma rep, it seems almost naive to believe the missing protein is accidental.
They want us to have less eggs, they are finding ways to get what they want. Also, I don’t trust this bird flu stuff and killing millions of chickens because they decide based on pcr tests (unreliable) done by the CDC (super unreliable.)
Sorry that’s how I feel.
who are 'they' and what would be their benefit of us receiving fewer eggs from our birds?
Even with current crazy prices eggs are still the cheapest protein source for most of the world and it really is not economical to drop $1000 just to get 4 eggs on average every day, not calculating the continued cost of feed, etc

in all seriousness what is plausible is that the feed companies are getting paid off by the major egg producers to introduce something maybe a chemical that alters the DNA of laying hens as to make them slow down or even stop to make people buy thier eggs. It makes perfect sense. Eggs prices are on the rise to astronomical prices at the same exact time people with backyard flocks are seeing a reduction in egg production. Now that is no coincidence. I think Facebook should be warned cause it's the right thing to do.

I'm not worried about the feed or the chickens. I'm worried about society at large. There have always been conspiracy theories but society at large could write them off as crack-pots and go about their business. My hope is that the current rash of paranoia and conspiracies is just a consequence and reaction to the pandemic and that we are not permanently stuck in this muck.

Cargill is the nation's largest privately held company, and one of its biggest feed producers. Depending on who you ask, they are worth about $165 BILLION. Continental Grain and they just got approval to buy up major poultry producer Sanderson Farms (ranked #3) for pocket change, a measely $4.5 Billion. that's not even one month's revenues. Continental already owns Wayne Farms (lots of their poultry places around me). Wayne is #6 pountry producer here in the US.

Cal-Maine Foods is the top US egg producer - They are worth about $2.6 Billion

Tell me again how poultry producers are paying off feed producers???

I've only seen people in the US talk about this, and it always seems like they got their info from another video/youtuber/tiktoker and repeat. I haven't seen anyone compare feed labels or talk about nutrients or consider other stressors or the sunshine. If I'm wrong, let me know?
Well I own 35 layers that can tell you that you are wrong. My first experience with this in 8 years. Again I knew something was wrong thought I had a predator. Set up cameras to see if something was sneaking in to steal eggs as I can only collect at night. Thought I would at least see shells or something left behind. I randomly bought a different feed due to time issues and went out of my way to get it because I didn’t want to take my 3 children into TSC with me so went to a local feed mill bought 200 lbs of feed and within weeks I’m getting a huge change in production.

on the flipside- the light has also been increasing for almost a month now, since winter solstice was dec 21st. Do you have the batch number or photo of the label of the other feed? Maybe the folks here can run it through their spreadsheet to see if it's different

Almost the same exact situation with me. I have far fewer birds though. Once I got a different brand all of a sudden the eggs came back.

Who are you going to see talking about this at this point other than individual people on social media sharing their personal stories? Does somebody on the TV have to report on it for it to become a real story?
