Feeling bad :(

sounds like you need some guard animals. We have miniature donkeys, the neighbor has big donkeys and a mule who will go after any coyotes or coon that comes on the property. My donkeys do too. our whole property is fenced also, and we rotate the fields with the donkeys... they are mostly on the back side of the property where the coyotes would be most tempted.
Llamas I heard are good too. I would worry about it being a pack though. Maybe you could get big live traps? coyotes are pretty brave here too, we have seen them in the daytime.
I do think the noise from the donkeys scares them more than anything!
