I know we sound like we're giving you the third degree, It's just we want your birds to be safe and warm. Mama ducks aren't like chickens that call her chicks for them to crawl under and get warm, it's up to the duckling to get under mama most of the time. This weather most of us are experiencing isn't good for even adult birds let alone ducklings.

Absolutely agree Miss lydia. Just brainstorming aloud so she can weigh all of her options and see which ones work best for her and her birds and leave the rest.

The hen who is sitting will be confined to the hoop coop which is where she is sitting now. The last group was raised at the pond and the big problem then was the snapping turtles. Hanging with the rest of the flock didnt cause any problems.
